You’ve probably heard the word… mindfulness. These days, it seems to be popping up everywhere – books, magazines, websites, on TV… everywhere. It’s definitely a buzzword and quickly making waves across many fields including psychology, business, and education. But what does “mindfulness” actually mean?
ART is another great medium for mindfulness. Many children and youth who cannot find the right words to get in touch with/express their feelings CAN do so with use of colors and designs. Guided self-expression through art is an option!
Thanks – well said. I find using mindfulness techniques helps healthcare professional deal with difficult situations. Perhaps one of the greatest challenges is to remain non-judgmental.
